Soccer predictions online for Barcelona – Bayern M
Barcelona and Bayern Munich face each other at the Camp Nou in a game from Group E of the Champions League. Let’s see what kind of preview we can offer you in these soccer predictions online.
For Barca this is a moment of rebuild. For the Catalans the summer was defined by the departure of club’s greatest player ever – Lionel Messi. The Argentine magician had to move to PSG as Barcelona were unable to offer him a new contract. It was heartbreaking, but it is what it is – Los Cules now must learn to play without Messi.
Another one of Barcelona’s biggest stars left the club as well. The French super star Antoine Griezmann moved to his former team Atletico Madrid in the last day of the summer transfer window. Griezmann never really impressed with Barca’s shirt, but surely he’s a player who was able to decide some of the games. Now he’s gone as well.
Barcelona’s head coach Ronald Koeman has some big problems before hosting Bayern Munich. These problems are mainly in attack where Los Cules are missing a lot of players. Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Aguero are still recovering from their injuries and they have not played a single minute this sason. Meanwhile Martin Braithwaite will miss the next few months because of a knee problem. The Danish striker was in a good form, but now he’s out for the rest of the year.
Koeman must make some decisions now. If he keeps the 4-3-3 formation then most probably he will put Philippe Coutinho and the new signing Luuk de Jong alongside Barcelona’s new star Memphis Depay. Meanwhile the right back Sergino Dest is also doubtful for the game because of ankle problem. If the American can’t play then Oscar Mingueza should take his place in the line-up.
If Koeman decides to switch to 4-4-2 for the next game then Sergi Roberto could return in the starting eleven. The other three players in midfield have guaranteed starting spots – these are Sergio Busquets, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong. These three players are going to be crucial for Barcelona this season. And in the upcoming game on Tuesday, of course.
According to most of the Catalan journalists, Koeman has decided to start Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo as centre-backs. At the same time it won’t be surprising if he picks Eric Garcia as well – a player who arrived in the summer and already made some good impression with his performances.
It seems that Memphis Depay is already turning into one of Barcelona’s new leaders, especially after Messi’s departure. The Dutch star is playing very strong since the beginning of the season and he already scored two goals in the club’s first three matches in La Liga. Depay is playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and he will be the main danger for Bayern Munich on Tuesday. You can bet that Bayern’s manager Julian Nagelsmann will be paying special attention to the former Olympique Lyonnais ace.
Barca’s game against Sevilla in the weekend was postponed, so the Catalans will be a little bit more fresh then their next opponent. Let’s see if Barcelona can use this little fact in their favour.
Bayern Munich are starting to click under their new manager Julian Nagelsmann. The Bavarian giants won all of their last five games in all competition and here’s what’s really impressive – they have scored 27 goals in these five matches! 12 of these goals were scored in one single game – against Bremer SV in the DFB Pokal.
During the weekend the Bundesliga champions showed their enormous quality again. They faced RB Leipzig away from home and celebrated a stunning 4-1 win at the Red Bull Arena. Robert Lewandowski, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane and Eric Choupo-Moting scored for the visitors.
Julian Nagelsmann has some problems before the next game. Robert Lewandowski left the pitch early against Leipzig, but the head coach later confirmed that he’s actually fine. This means that Lewa should be in line-up against Barcelona on Tuesday. It’s a different situation for Serge Gnabry, though. The electric winger left the pitch injured against the Red Bulls and he’s not expected to play at the Camp Nou. This means that Jamal Musiala could be in the starting eleven against the Catalans. He’s just 18-years old, but he’s already regarded as one of the brightest talents in German football. In another situation Kingsley Coman could have been included in the line-up, but the French winger is sidelined with an injury. His compatriot Corentin Tolisso is also not available for the game.
The good news for Nagelsmann is the return of Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano and Thomas Muller. These three players will be involved at the Camp Nou on Tuesday and most likely will start. Nagelsmann started Lucas Hernandez as a centre-back against Leipzig, but on Tuesday he could put Niklas Sule on this position. Meanwhile most probably Benjamin Pavard will keep his place on the right flank as he’s much more experienced than the young and promising Josip Stanisic.
This will be the first time Barcelona and Bayern Munich go head to head since the Bavarians crushed the Catalans with 8-2 in 2020. Many things are different in both teams right now, but Bayern are certainly looking as the better side at the moment. Even at the Camp Nou, Julian Nagelsmann’s team will enter the pitch as favorites. They are more balanced than Barca at the moment and they have more confidence as well. We certainly believe that this Bayern Munich’s game to lose.
That’s the soccer predictions online for the Champions League fixture between Barcelona and Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou. Barcelona will be motivated to show a better face compared to what happened in 2020, but it’s going to be really difficult for them. Julian Nagelsmann is doing some terrific job at Bayern and the team is looking impressive in the last month or so.
